Title says it all

This PR is an ongoing sandbox environment in which I (/we) attempt to upgrade all the packages (including react scripts) to the latest version.

Tasks and stuff

  • Upgraded all breaking packages to their latest version to reduce error output
  • Find a way around ejecting to configure web pack and babel
  • Remove unused packages along the way
  • Get the app running 🥳
  • Fix console source map warnings
  • Fully test the web-app to check for bugs and stuff

@duart38 Will solve conflict issues with the base branch.

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT an elegant solution. If ugly code and solutions make you sick, I suggest you turn away and run far away from this PR.
